Retro Gaming

I have just recently delved back into the arts of retro gaming. In the past I have touched base in the area with ROMs and emulation of NES, SNES, Gameboy and Playstation games on my modded XBOX and PC, but the experience was never the same as I remember as a child. In a search to re-capture the joy of my juvenile gaming experiences, I have re-purchased a Nintendo 64 and a SNES/NES combo system as seen here.

While purchasing a console is GREAT and awesome, what’s next? …Purchasing games? Why, of course! While doing some research and purchasing a variety of NES, SNES and N64 games from a variety of resources accommodating the best prices available, I quickly realized this endeavor would quickly become a very costly one. In three days I’ve spent over $300, and have purchased a mere ten games or so. Great as it may be, the ones I REALLY want (Mega Man X3, Final Fantasy 3, etc) come at a very, very high cost. (more…)
